No book is the work of a singular endeavour but the sum of several collaborations and conventions. Dr Susan England will unveil the hidden history of the anatomy of a book and how its presentation has been shaped over time.
From incipts, colophons, imprints and readers’ addresses to chapter heads, page numbers, epigraphs, back ends and front ends this talk guarantees those who attend will see the book in a completely new light.
The talk will last 45 minutes followed by a short Q&A session and a pop-up publishing consultancy clinic for attendees who are aspiring authors.
