Robby Bullen is one of those rare people who interprets the world through a cartoonist’s eye. Cartoonists can do what many other social and cultural commentators cannot. They take an idea and translate it into a unique visual narrative that goes to the heart of the matter and in most cases with a satirical or comic interpretation.
His cartoons are published in the national newspapers (Sun, Daily Mirror, Independent), regional newspapers (Western Morning News, Plymouth Evening Herald) and appear with alarming regularity in Private Eye and The Oldie.
Robby’s skills and very particular visual insight means that a client always get a creative twist. He can work on one-off commissions, for newspapers and magazines, or as part of a bigger promotional/visual communication project.
Following in the Hogarthian tradition of biting satire, Robby has just created an ongoing series of cartoons on the topic of Twenty-First Century Mythologies. To view these and other cartoon imaginings go to Robby’s Facebook by clicking here.
